Baby...Baby, our new addition

Baby Deshawn has joined our family!  On Jan 12th he was born and Jan 14th we picked him up from the hospital.  Although it is unclear if we will get to keep him, we consider him part of our family and he always will be a part of us no matter what happens.  We know it is a blessing to be able to raise him right now and we are so lucky to be his parents at this time.

Jan 12th, the day we brought Deshawn home from the hospital. The boys were so so so excited to have a brother.

Meet my niece...finally

Can't really see how cute she is, but she is cute.  Max and I made a trip to visit our new niece KJ.  Micah and Melinda were finally able to adopt this sweet one.  We are so excited and happy to have her in our family. She was born Christmas day. Birth-mom kept her for a week, putting Micah and Melinda into morning, thinking they wouldn't get her. Now they have her, she is a blessing!

After our visit we made a trip to Costco.  Max loves his hot dogs. He is such an independent little bugger.  Never wants help and refuses to sit in his high chair.  That has been gone for months.

Going to play outside in the snow.

My two rascals.  Porter made this snack for them after school.

Jan 1st, we went to classic skating again.

Had a gift card to jamba juice, so we started our day with yumminess!

Max in his monkey suit and green rain boots. He wanted to go up and down the escalator the whole time we were at the mall.

End of 2012

So another year gone and another to come.
If I could wrap up 2012 in a word it would be awesome!
Everyday we have is awesome, whether it was full of laughter or full of tears... it is awesome!
Totally grateful to be living today. Grateful to have a wonderful family (not perfect), but wonderful. Grateful to have a body that works and two children.
We might not go on extravagant trips; nor have the awesome speed boat (my dreams); NOR be at my goal weight (smile), nor have my dream of 5 kids, Nor (list could go on)...but life is still great
and am happy to be here.
Just happy that God has given me this life with my challenges and my struggles; with my joys and triumphs to learn from and enjoy.
Happy to be a mom, sister, wife, daughter, grand-daughter, niece, aunt, and a daughter of God.

that we may realize what is most important,

that we may express our gratitude always

and thus find joy in the journey. " -Pres. Monson
